Dr Samuel Donald

Mr Samuel Donald is a Paediatric Occupational Therapist at Shine Child Development Centre, Dubai, with over eight years of experience supporting children with diverse developmental and sensory needs. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from SRM Institute of Science and Technology (2017) and has been a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) since 2023.

Mr Donald’s clinical expertise includes the assessment and intervention of children with developmental delays, sensory processing difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and emotional regulation challenges. Prior to his current role, he served as Lead Paediatric Occupational Therapist at The Speech Clinic, Dubai, where he developed and implemented tailored therapeutic programmes to support functional independence and participation.

His therapeutic approach integrates structured observation and sensory-based strategies, occasionally incorporating natural calming stimuli, such as his reef tank, to promote focus, self-regulation, and mindfulness during therapy.

Beyond clinical practice, Mr Donald is an active reef keeper and wildlife photographer. His interest in maintaining balanced marine ecosystems parallels his work with children, both requiring patience, attention, and a deep understanding of how environments influence growth and development.
