Dr Ousama Aridi

Dr. Ousama Aridi is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology with a specialisation in Laparoscopic Surgery, bringing over 24 years of experience to his practice. He trained at the American University of Beirut and in the United States, gaining extensive expertise in both clinical practice and academic settings. Dr. Aridi has served as the head of departments in three academic hospitals in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, where he also completed medical quality training certified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

He has dedicated more than 22 years to teaching medical students and residents and holds the academic title of Adjunct Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Alfaisal University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Aridi is also a trained and certified pelvic ultrasonographer, having received advanced training from the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG).

His areas of interest encompass a wide range of gynecologic and obstetric procedures. In gynecologic surgery, Dr. Aridi performs minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries for conditions such as adnexal masses, ectopic pregnancy, endometriosis, and more. He is skilled in hysteroscopy, including both diagnostic and operative procedures for removing endometrial fibroids and polyps. He also performs radical hysterectomies with lymph node dissection for treating gynecologic malignancies, as well as complex pelvic surgeries, including myomectomy and various types of hysterectomy.

Dr. Aridi's gynecology practice includes pelvic sonography for diagnosing endometrial, uterine, and adnexal lesions, management of HPV genital lesions, and treatment of disorders like PCOS and abnormal uterine bleeding. He addresses reproductive tract infections, chronic pelvic pain, and uterine fibroids, and provides medical management for conditions such as ectopic pregnancy and recurrent pregnancy loss. He also manages menopause and offers safe hormonal replacement therapy, as well as contraceptive counseling.

In obstetrics, Dr. Aridi handles normal and surgical deliveries, including assisted deliveries and complex cesarean sections. He is experienced in managing high-risk obstetrics, including preeclampsia, preterm labor, and gestational diabetes. He is skilled in the surgical management of conditions such as placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) and cesarean scar pregnancy, and he has expertise in handling life-threatening postpartum hemorrhage and various complications of pregnancy.

Dr. Aridi holds a Bachelor of Science with distinction and a Doctor of Medicine from the American University of Beirut. His specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology was completed at the American University of Beirut and The Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, USA.
