Dr. Omar Dhaimat

Dr Omar Dhaimat is a Consultant Endocrinologist at Clemenceau Medical Center Dubai with over 20 years of experience. He is double American Board-certified in Internal Medicine and in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Jordan in 1995, his residency in Internal Medicine at Seton Hall University in the United States in 2000, and his fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Miami in 2002.

He has held senior roles including Director of the Diabetes Center at HMC in Dubai Healthcare City from 2017 to 2019, Chief of Medical Staff at HMC in 2015, Consultant Endocrinologist at HMC from 2007 to 2019, Consultant Endocrinologist at Khalidi Plaza Centre in Amman from 2004 to 2007, and Assistant Professor at the University of Jordan for Science and Technology from 2002 to 2004.

His areas of expertise include diabetes management across all age groups, insulin pump and sensor technology, thyroid disorders including ultrasound and fine-needle aspiration, parathyroid and pituitary gland disorders, adrenal gland disorders, gonadal disorders in men, women, and children, polycystic ovary syndrome, erectile dysfunction, obesity and eating disorders, dyslipidemia, thyroid cancer, and rare endocrine tumours.

He is a Fellow of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists since 2005, a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists Gulf Chapter since 2013, the Jordanian Medical Society since 1996, and the Emirates Medical Association since 2007. He has multiple publications in the field of diabetes, endocrine disorders, obesity, thyroid cancer, osteoporosis, and hormone testing.
