Dr. Omaima Ali

Dr. Omaima Ali is a Specialist in Endocrinology and Diabetes. She completed her Doctorate of Medicine (MD) in Internal Medicine and pursued a subspecialty fellowship in Endocrinology, which included a two-year residency program. In addition to obtaining the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) from the UK, Dr. Ali earned the European Board Certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism from the European Endocrine Society.

Dr. Ali has a particular interest in the management of obesity and furthered her qualifications with an Obesity Management Certification from Melbourne University in Australia. Before relocating to the UAE, she worked as a Consultant Endocrinologist and Internal Medicine specialist at King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia. She has also gained local experience in various UAE hospitals.

Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. Ali is actively involved in research and has contributed to numerous publications worldwide. She is a member of several international endocrine societies and has been honoured as an author for the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) guidelines on hyperglycemia in pregnancy.

Her areas of interest include diabetes mellitus, endocrine and metabolic disorders in pregnancy, obesity and metabolic syndrome management, thyroid gland dysfunction, pituitary and adrenal gland disorders, infertility, gonadal disorders, hormone replacement therapies, and osteoporosis, as well as calcium, vitamin D, and parathyroid abnormalities.
