Dr. Mohamed Shaaban Mousa

Dr. Mohamed Shaaban Mousa is a highly experienced Consultant Physician in Pulmonology. He has served as an Associate Professor and Consultant of Pulmonary Medicine at Cairo University’s Faculty of Medicine (Kasr Al Ainy University Hospital), a renowned medical institution in Egypt and the Middle East. Prior to joining NMC, Dr. Shaaban worked as a pulmonology consultant at Saudi German Hospital in Sharjah, UAE.

Dr. Shaaban holds a Master’s degree (2014) and an MD in Pulmonary Medicine (2018) from Cairo University, along with the European Diploma in Adult Respiratory Medicine. He is also an ERS HERMES diplomate. His pulmonology career began in 2011 with a three-year residency at Cairo University Hospitals, where he advanced to become a Pulmonology Consultant and Associate Professor.

His expertise includes interventional pulmonology (flexible bronchoscopy, medical thoracoscopy), pleural diseases, pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung diseases, respiratory critical care, and pulmonary infections. Dr. Shaaban has also published 11 research papers in international journals and is actively involved in teaching medical students. He is a member of the European Respiratory Society and the Egyptian Society of Chest Diseases and Tuberculosis.
