Dr. Megha Gupta

Dr Megha Gupta is a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with 14 years of clinical experience, including more than 10 years working in the UAE. She graduated in medicine in India before completing a Master of Surgery in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and gaining her Dubai Health Authority licence as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Dr Gupta's clinical practice encompasses the assessment and management of obstetric and gynaecological conditions, from routine women's health consultations and pregnancy monitoring to complex high-risk pregnancies and surgical interventions. Her gynaecological practice includes the investigation and management of menstrual disorders, adolescent gynaecological concerns, sexually transmitted infections and infertility.

Dr Gupta began her medical career in India, working in hospital and clinical settings between 2008 and 2014. Her appointments included Consultant positions at Jeevan Speciality Hospital and Test Tube Baby Centre and Matra Chhaya Clinic and Nursing Home, alongside a Senior Registrar role at KEM Hospital and Seth GS Medical College in Mumbai. During this period, she managed a broad range of obstetric and gynaecological cases, including complicated pregnancies and emergency deliveries. She reports having conducted more than 300 vaginal deliveries, independently performed over 100 caesarean sections, carried out more than 200 D&C procedures and undertaken nearly 100 major gynaecological operations.

She moved to the UAE in 2015, joining Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai, where she worked until August 2017. Her subsequent appointments included Magnum Gulf Medical Centre, JTS Medical Centre, Al Das Medical Clinic, Al Zahra Hospital, King's College Hospital in Dubai and Axon Polymedica Medical Centre, with associated hospital operating or admission privileges at several facilities. Alongside this she has held roles at Saudi German Hospital, Medcare Medical Centre as well as operating at Medcare Women and Children Hospital.

Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Gupta completed a research project at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Sawai Man Singh Medical College, Jaipur. The study compared hyoscine butylbromide and drotaverine hydrochloride in accelerating the first stage of labour.

Her additional professional training includes Advanced Life Support in Obstetric and basic ultrasonography in obstetrics and gynaecology.
