Dr Kinda Alani

Dr Kinda Alani is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology currently practising at Medcare Women & Children Hospital. She earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Science (MSc) with a specialisation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the University of Damascus, Syria. She is a Member and Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG, FRCOG) in London, UK, and is an accredited Colposcopist through the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP).

Dr Alani has over 30 years of international clinical experience with almost half of it in the UK and the rest between Syria, and the UAE. Her early career included postgraduate training at Gwynedd District University Hospital in the UK, where she progressed from Registrar to Senior Registrar. She later worked as a Consultant at the Medical Care Centre in Damascus before returning to the UK as a Clinical Fellow and Academic Tutor at Royal Gwent University Hospital, Newport. She has since held consultant positions at Dubai Hospital and Dubai Healthcare City.

Her clinical expertise includes high-risk pregnancy, diabetes in pregnancy, miscarriage management, infertility assessment, colposcopy, management of abnormal smears and HPV infection, laparoscopic surgery, hysterectomy, myomectomy, and perineal repair. Dr Alani is fluent in Arabic and English.
