Prof Conroy is a highly experienced and skilled Orthopaedic Surgeon
specialising in hip and knee surgeries.
He has 28 years’ experience as a doctor, qualifying at St Andrews’ and
Manchester Universities in 1995.
Jon completed his UK consultant surgical training in 2006 in Yorkshire. He was
fellowship trained in knee surgery (2004/5) under Prof London in Harrogate
and in revision hip and knee surgery (2005/6) under Prof Crawford in Brisbane,
Australia.
Jon is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of London, a member of the
British Orthopaedic Association, British Hip Society and International Society of
Hip Arthroscopy.
In 2006, he achieved an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Leeds University,
with a distinction. His interest in engineering has enabled him early access to
new technology and to design surgical instruments and prostheses. One
design is currently amongst the most implanted hip replacement in the world.
Prof Conroy has a particular interest in robotic surgery and sports-related hip
and knee injuries. He had one of the largest hip arthroscopy practices in the
UK and is renowned for being an early adopter of new treatments.
He was the first surgeon to perform robotic assisted hip replacement surgery
in the North of England in 2017. His experience includes up to 600 hip and knee
replacements and over 50 revision hip and knee replacements per year.
In 2022, Jon moved permanently to the UAE with practice in Abu Dhabi and
Dubai. He was the first surgeon to perform MAKO robotic assisted total hip and
partial knee replacements in the Middle East and the first to perform MAKO
robotic assisted total knee replacement in the UAE.
Prof Conroy works exclusively for Mubadala Health in Dubai and Healthpoint
hospital in Abu Dhabi. He provides a comprehensive hip and knee service,
covering all aspects of hip and knee complaints.
He believes Robotic surgery gives consistent and accurate positioning of hip
and knee implants to give the best functional outcome to his patients.

Professor Dr. Jonathan Conroy one of the best orthopaedic surgeon I have ever met. From the first day before the operation to the day of the operation and after the operation, he follows up the patient’s condition. He is a person who cares about the patient, loves his work team, and is passionate about the work he does. I will always recommend Doctor Jon Conroy to my family and friends.

After Dr Jon conroy's knee surgery my fathers knee has never been better! While before his surgery he couldnt walk for long distances without pretty bad knee pain (because of old age and weight) but after the surgery in his right leg he could walk without problems thanks to Dr Jon and physiotherapy.

Dr. Conroy performed a full hip replacement in mid Feb. This was the second time I had this operation and comparing the recovery time and the whole post operation experience I cannot be more satisfied. This time I was able to walk with no assistance after just 4 weeks, while it took more than 2 months when I did the other hip (in Germany in 2015). I cannot recommend dr. Conroy strongly enough.

He is an exelent doctor and make u relax, and my experience is all over the best. Very important to do exercises as the doctor say. Dr Conroy, you are simply the best. Let's walk in the desert together. All the best.❤️

Very happy with my hip replacement. Anaesthesia was great. Recovery was excellent. After 2 weeks didn’t need crutches. Back to normal after 6 weeks. I would recommend Dr Conroy

I had a knee replacement with Dr. Jon Conroy before the surgery I was walking side ways and in severe pain. After the procedure my leg is now straight and I am able to walk better and the recovery was very fast. Doctor did a great surgery the cut was small and clean with a speedy recovery
