He also holds a PhD and MD in Endocrinology from Al Azhar University, Egypt which he was awarded in 2007. Following this, Dr Eltayeb also completed an advanced training program in Endocrinology at Bologna University Hospital, Italy. In 2017, Dr Eltayeb completed a Professorship Degree in Endocrinology at the University of South Wales in the UK. In 2021, he completed another Master's Degree in Obesity Medicine, also at the University of South Wales in the UK. He is also SCOPE-Certified by the World Obesity Federation in Obesity Management.
Prior to his current position at Prime Hospital, Dr Ihab Eltayeb practiced as a Consultant Endocrinologist at Dar Al Shifaa Hospital in Egypt under the Egyptian Ministry of Health for almost 15 years. He also practiced at other specialist medical centres in Egypt under the Egyptian Ministry of Health.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Eltayeb has published several articles for internationally renowned publications and regularly speaks at leading local, regional and international medical conferences.
