Ms Ibtisam Jeraj

Ibtisam is a paediatric occupational therapist with four years of experience in the UK. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy from Cardiff University and has worked in clinics, schools, and community settings. Working closely with families, schools, and other professionals ensures that the progress made in therapy naturally continues into the child’s everyday routines and experiences.

In her clinical practice, Ibtisam has supported children with sensory processing differences, fine and gross motor development, learning difficulties and emotional regulation. She is committed to supporting children to participate in everyday activities with increased independence. 

Ibtisam believes in making sessions fun and meaningful by tailoring activities to each child and family’s unique interests and goals. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of her approach, as she understands how important it is for children and families to feel comfortable and supported throughout their journey.

Committed to ongoing learning, Ibtisam has completed a wide range of additional training including the CO-OP (Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance) approach — a hands-on, goal-focused way to help children develop new skills — and GroBrain, a program that helps caregivers understand how early relationships impact brain development and behaviour. She has also designed and delivered teacher-training workshops in the UK on developing motor skills in the classroom and supporting sensory processing differences in the school environment.

Ibtisam communicates fluently in English, Urdu, Hindi, Gujarati, and Swahili. She believes that open, clear communication with families and schools is essential to providing therapy that truly supports each child’s unique journey.
