Dr Hani Abdul Salam

Dr. Hani Abdul Salam is a highly skilled oral and maxillofacial surgeon with extensive experience in the field. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgical training at the prestigious University of Toronto in Canada and obtained his PhD from McGill University, specialising in the use of electrical stimulation and low energy lasers for bone healing around dental implants.

Since 2004, Dr. Hani has been offering his services in the Middle East, working as a consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Lebanon. With a unique advantage of combining North American clinical training and a research-oriented PhD, Dr. Hani has a comprehensive understanding of the field.

Dr. Hani's practice encompasses a wide range of procedures, including surgical dental extractions, dental implant placement, bone grafting, orthognathic surgery, reconstructive cosmetic maxillofacial surgery, treatment of maxillofacial fractures, cysts, tumours, and infections. He is also proficient in the non-surgical and surgical management of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, offering minimally invasive procedures such as arthroscopy of the temporomandibular joint and TMJ reconstruction.

Currently, Dr. Hani holds the position of Professor and Program Director of the Postgraduate Oral Surgery and Implantology Program at Maktoum Bin Hamdan Dental University College in Dubai, UAE. He is also a visiting Professor at Beirut Arab University. Previously, he served as the Director of McGill University Continuing Dental Education in the Middle East & North Africa from 2006 to 2011.

Dr. Hani is actively involved in research and has published in peer-reviewed journals. He is a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences, sharing his expertise and contributing to the advancement of the field. He is a member of prestigious professional organisations such as the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the International Association for Dental Research. He is also a Fellow of the International College of Dentists and a speaker of the International Team of Implantology (ITI), directing the ITI study club in Dubai, focusing on the latest advances in implant dentistry.
