Dr Graham Williams

Dr Graham Williams is a Clinical Psychologist at Medcare Medical Centre Jumeirah with over two decades of mental health expertise from the British National Health Service (NHS). A British national, he earned his BSc in Clinical Psychology at the University of Kent in 1999 and completed the DClinPsy program at the University of Hertfordshire in 2009. 

With specialised training in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Dr Williams served over a decade in child and adolescent mental health services, focusing on trauma. As a senior psychologist, he led trauma services, providing training and education in medical and educational settings. His versatile experience spans general paediatrics in a regional children's hospital, specialist maternity-related psychology in the NHS, and reporting as an Independent Expert Witness in the Family Court system. Dr Williams has expertise in assessing and managing mental health issues, neurodevelopmental disorders, maternity-related psychology, and the psychological impact of long-term medical conditions.

His expertise also includes risk assessment and management, particularly in self-harm and suicidal behaviour. Dr Williams combines research and creativity to tailor treatments for optimal outcomes.
