Dafiah Sageer

Dafiah Sageer is a Speech and Language Therapist at Medcare Medical Centre Jumeirah and Camali Clinic. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology at the National Institute of Speech and Hearing, India, in 2017 followed by her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Mysore, India, in 2020.

After graduating, Dafiah began working in speech therapy, catering to both children and adults with diverse communication and swallowing disorders. Her extensive practice includes outpatient and inpatient care, rehabilitation programs, and ICU settings, including roles as a Speech Therapist at the Neuro Spinal Hospital in Dubai, UAE, and a Speech-Language Pathologist at the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing in Mysore, India.

Dafiah's expertise includes neurogenic and non-neurogenic communication disorders, addressing conditions such as: aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), cerebral palsy, stuttering, and voice disorders. She specialises in assessing and intervening in neurogenic disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), stroke, and traumatic brain injury, with a focus on communication and swallowing capabilities.

Dafiah is also skilled in implementing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies, advocating for their use when necessary. She tailors her therapy plans to address individual needs.

Alongside her clinical work, Dafiah has participated in scientific poster presentations and contributions to international journal publications.
