Dr. Cecilio Azar

Dr Cecilio Azar is a well experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist at Clemenceau Medical Center with over 15 years of national and regional acclaim in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. 

Specialising in inflammatory bowel disease and Hepatology, he has a portfolio of more than 25 publications in international journals and book chapters. Alongside his role as a consultant, Dr Azar also serves as a lecturer and is on many advisory boards of multiple pharmaceutical companies. 

Dr Azar has expertise in advanced upper and lower endoscopic procedures and performs intragastric balloons for obesity. Committed to education, he actively teaches medical students, residents, and fellows. Dr Azar is a member of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) and the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation, contributing to the advancement of gastroenterological knowledge and practices.
