Dr. Balgis Khalil

Dr. Balgis Khalil is an experienced Aesthetic Medicine Physician with more than 20 years of medical practice and extensive expertise in non-surgical facial rejuvenation, advanced laser treatments, and anti-ageing medicine. She practises in Abu Dhabi, providing personalised, evidence-based aesthetic treatments that enhance natural beauty while prioritising patient safety and long-term skin health.

Dr. Balgis brings a truly international clinical background, having worked across the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and Sudan. Notably, she spent two years practising in Manchester, United Kingdom, where she further strengthened her clinical expertise within the UK's healthcare system and gained valuable experience managing patients from diverse cultural and medical backgrounds. This international exposure enables her to combine global best practices with an individualised approach to aesthetic care.

Before relocating to the UAE, Dr. Balgis successfully founded and managed her own aesthetic clinic in Khartoum, where she treated more than 3,000 patients. She later expanded her experience at Alyaa Medical Centre, delivering a comprehensive range of non-surgical aesthetic procedures to hundreds of additional patients, building a strong reputation for achieving natural-looking, balanced results.

Dr. Balgis graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University of Sudan in 2001. She subsequently completed advanced postgraduate training in aesthetic medicine, earning both a Certificate and Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine through the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM). She also holds an Arab Board Certificate in Dermatology and maintains internationally recognised certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Primary Critical Care Support (PCCS).

Prior to specialising in aesthetic medicine, Dr. Balgis completed residency training in emergency and acute medicine at Al-Iman General Hospital in Riyadh, King Abdulaziz Medical City – National Guard Hospital in Al-Hassa, Saudi Arabia, Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital in Bangor, Wales, and later gained additional clinical experience while working in Manchester, United Kingdom. During these years, she managed a wide spectrum of acute medical, surgical, and paediatric conditions, developing the clinical judgement, precision, and patient-centred approach that continue to underpin her aesthetic practice today.

To further refine her expertise, Dr. Balgis completed fellowship training in aesthetic medicine at Galadari Derma Clinic in Dubai and CosmeSurge in Abu Dhabi. Under expert supervision, she received advanced hands-on training in botulinum toxin injections, dermal fillers, skin boosters, biostimulators, laser skin rejuvenation, Fraxel laser resurfacing, laser tattoo removal, facial thread lifting, cellulite treatment, thread and varicose vein treatments, scar revision, hyperhidrosis management, mesotherapy, and microdermabrasion.
