Mr Anthony McEwan is a qualified osteopath who has been in clinical practice since 2014, with a strong focus on manual therapy and whole-person approaches to pain management. He holds a Master’s degree in Osteopathy from the University of Greenwich, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Manchester, and is also a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner.
Currently practising at Up and Running, Mr McEwan works with a wide range of patients, supporting recovery from back and neck pain, sports injuries, postural problems, headaches, and providing care throughout pregnancy. His approach combines hands-on osteopathic techniques with a broader focus on long-term wellbeing and injury prevention.
His treatments include structural methods such as High-Velocity Thrust (HVT), Muscle Energy Technique (MET), and Balanced Ligamentous Tension (BLT), as well as craniosacral and visceral approaches. He also incorporates modern therapeutic technologies, including photobiomodulation, K-Laser therapy, and TENS, alongside tailored exercise programmes to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility.
Outside of his professional work, Mr McEwan has a keen interest in martial arts, especially disciplines such as Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai.
