Dr. Aman PS Sohal

Dr Aman PS Sohal is an accomplished Consultant Paediatric Neurologist with more than 12 years of experience in Paediatric Neurology. He is a specialist in general paediatric neurology, paediatric epilepsy, paediatric headache, inherited metabolic diseases/inborn errors of metabolism, movement disorders, developmental delay, paediatric neuromuscular conditions, neurorehabilitation, and paediatric Neurodisability. Dr Sohal has also gained significant experience in Clinical Neurophysiology, including interpreting paediatric EEGs, EMG, and nerve conduction studies.

Dr Sohal completed his training in Paediatric Neurology from the prestigious Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK. He was then appointed as a Consultant in Paediatric Neurology at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, UK, which is a large tertiary/quaternary level paediatric hospital. After working in the UK as a Consultant until September 2015, Dr Sohal moved to the UAE and was appointed as a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, which is a tertiary level hospital catering to children in the UAE.

With a passion for research and new innovative treatments in Paediatric Neurology, Dr Sohal has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in national and international journals. He has also been an invited speaker at national and international meetings. 

Dr Sohal is a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH), UK, and completed his comprehensive postgraduate training in General Paediatrics and Neonatology as a paediatric resident and registrar in the prestigious Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool, UK. He was awarded Completion of Certified Training (CCT) in Paediatric Neurology and Paediatrics by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2012.
