Dr Osama Bashi

Dr Osama Bashi is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician at Dubai London Clinic. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Baghdad, College of Medicine. Subsequently, he completed his residency in Paediatrics and gained a great deal of experience as a Paediatrician, starting in Iraq where he worked as Resident Physician and Paediatrician for some premier teaching hospitals. He received his Board certification in Iraq, and then worked as an Attendant Physician and Consultant Paediatrician in Jordan before moving to the UAE in 1999. There, he practised both General Paediatrics as well as Neonatal & Paediatric intensive care.

Dr Bashi worked as a Consultant Paediatrician and Department Head at Baraha Hospital in Dubai for the last 15 years, where he was responsible for Inpatient care at the Paediatric & Neonatal Intensive Care, and Outpatient care at the hospital's Paediatric unit. He is a specialist in general paediatric problems and infections, as well as respiratory and gastrointestinal issues in children. He also has extensive experience treating urinary tract problems in kids. His extensive knowledge and expertise come from enrolling in specialty training courses and clinical programs at renowned hospitals and institutions around the world, including in the UK and Canada's Hospital for Sick Children.

In addition, Dr Bashi has focused on preventative healthcare issues and has been a certified US International Lactation Consultant since 2002. He has had extensive involvement in Medical education programs, and from 2008 to 2014 served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Sharjah, College of Medicine and Department of Paediatrics. In this role, he supervised upper year Medical students integrating their transition into hospital-based medical practice.
