Dr Alex Abraham

Dr Alex Abraham is an orthopaedic surgeon based at canadian Medical Centre in Abu Dhabi. He is experienced in a range of areas within the field of trauma, with specialisation in the following:

- Ultrasound based diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries and muscle conditions

• Hand, foot, ankle, and knee surgeries
• Arthroscopy
• Joint replacements
• Ultrasound diagnosis and treatments
• Frozen shoulder
• Calcific tendonitis
• Trigger finger
• Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

He holds an MBBS degree from the University of Mysore, as well as an MS (Orth) and an MCh (Orth) gained from Kuvempu University and the University of Dundee, respectively. Furthermore, he has earned the Expert Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (Expert MSKUS) qualification from the University of Barcelona.

Additionally, Dr Abraham has also trained himself in ultrasound diagnosis and treatment, and he uses a specialised musculoskeletal ultrasound in his practice.

Dr Abraham has played a key role in the establishment of orthopaedic departments in two hospitals, one in India and one in Abu Dhabi. He has also been the medical director at Al Reyada Medical Centre. Additionally, he has set up the department hospital at Maria Hospital in India and the Lifeline Hospital in the UAE.

Other previous roles include orthopaedic specialist at KKT Orthopaedic and Spine Centre, the American European Medical Centre, and Al Noor Hospital.

He has also been involved in research and has a number of papers to his name.
