Dr Zakiyah Khatree

Dr Zakiyah Khatree is a compassionate General Practitioner who is dedicated to providing holistic, patient-centred healthcare. She believes in a comprehensive approach to medicine, focusing on long-term health management and individualised patient support. Her clinical philosophy is centred on understanding each patient's unique needs to achieve the best possible health outcomes and improve their overall quality of life.

Throughout her career, Dr Khatree has gained valuable experience across various medical and surgical departments, including intensive care and emergency medicine. This diverse background has equipped her with the skills necessary to manage a wide range of complex clinical cases. Her areas of clinical interest are broad, encompassing chronic disease management, aged care, and women's health, including antenatal care and contraception. She is also highly skilled in performing minor surgical procedures, such as skin cancer surgery and the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants. Additionally, she provides support for developmental disorders, mental health concerns, and medicinal cannabis treatments.

Dr Khatree obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Cape Town in South Africa in 2000. Following her primary medical degree, she completed a Diploma in Anaesthetics in South Africa. Upon relocating, she earned her certification from the Australian Medical Council (AMC). Dr Khatree is also an accredited Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), reflecting her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of general practice.
