Dr Yves Kerdraon is a highly qualified Consultant Ophthalmologist who specialises in diseases of the cornea, complex cataract surgery, and reconstructive eye surgery. Dr Kerdraon completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney in 1997, where he also earned a Bachelor of Science (Medicine) with Honours and a Master of Biomedical Engineering. He undertook his specialist ophthalmic surgical training at a leading eye hospital in Sydney, qualifying as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmologists in 2006. To further refine his expertise, he completed a prestigious sub-specialty fellowship in corneal diseases at a renowned eye hospital in the United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO).
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Kerdraon is actively involved in the education of the next generation of medical professionals. He serves as a Senior Lecturer and co-ordinator for postgraduate ophthalmic studies at the University of Sydney, where he teaches microsurgery, cataract surgery, and corneal procedures to Junior Doctors and Ophthalmology Trainees.
