Dr Yusuf Amod

Dr Yusuf Amod is a highly dedicated General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, compassionate, and patient-centred care. With a broad clinical background, Dr Amod is committed to supporting the health and well-being of individuals and families throughout all stages of life. His reassuring and professional approach ensures that patients feel heard, valued, and supported during their medical consultations.

Dr Amod completed his primary medical education at the Nelson Mandela School of Medicine in South Africa, where he obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 1984. Committed to continuous professional development, he obtained his Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners International (MRCGP INT) qualification in 2010. After relocating to Australia, he successfully completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2013.

Before focusing fully on family medicine, Dr Amod gained extensive clinical experience working as a Registrar in several key medical departments, including Paediatrics, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), and Surgery. He also contributed to the academic medical community as a Lecturer in the Department of Anatomy at the University of Natal. This diverse background has equipped him with a deep understanding of complex medical conditions, allowing him to offer specialised insights into children's health, minor surgical procedures, and chronic disease management.
