Dr Yuri Mateo

Dr Yuri Mateo is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who provides comprehensive primary healthcare to patients of all ages. With a strong foundation in both emergency medicine and family practice, he is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Dr Mateo takes a holistic approach to medicine, focusing on preventative health and empowering individuals to actively manage their physical and mental well-being.

Dr Mateo completed his Doctor of Medicine in the Philippines in 1996. Following his initial medical training, he specialised as an Emergency Physician in the Philippines and was recognised as a Fellow of the Philippine College of Emergency Medicine. After relocating to Australia, he continued his work in emergency medicine within a major metropolitan hospital before transitioning into general practice. He completed extensive postgraduate training across various urban and rural settings in New South Wales, ultimately achieving Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

Throughout his career, Dr Mateo has developed a broad range of clinical interests, spanning chronic disease management, occupational health, and minor surgical procedures. His background in emergency medicine equips him with the expertise to manage acute presentations and perform precise interventions, such as skin lesion excisions, mole removals, and wedge resections. Additionally, he is highly proficient in providing tailored care in men's health, mental health, travel medicine, and childhood immunisations, ensuring that every member of the family receives thorough and compassionate medical attention.
