Dr Yumi Oh

Dr Yumi Oh is a highly dedicated Consultant Rheumatologist who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care for individuals experiencing a wide range of musculoskeletal and immunological conditions. With a unique multicultural background, Dr Oh brings a high level of cultural awareness to her clinical practice, allowing her to connect deeply with patients from diverse walks of life. She is passionate about listening to her patients' individual values and beliefs, ensuring that she can design flexible, tailored, and highly effective treatment plans that support their long-term health and well-being.

Dr Oh completed her dual degree, obtaining a Bachelor of Science alongside a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Queensland in 2014. Following her graduation, she undertook her Basic Physician Training at a major tertiary hospital in Brisbane before being accepted into the Queensland Rheumatology Training Programme in 2020. Her specialist training took her across various metropolitan and regional settings, including Far North Queensland, providing her with a broad spectrum of clinical experience. Committed to continuous professional development, Dr Oh is also an Associate Lecturer at the University of Queensland and is currently pursuing a Master of Sports Medicine to further enhance her holistic approach to patient care.

In her clinical practice, Dr Oh specialises in the diagnosis and management of all forms of arthritis and complex immunological diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus. She has a keen interest in integrating sports medicine principles into rheumatological care, helping patients maintain mobility and joint health. Additionally, Dr Oh is active in clinical research and medical education, regularly teaching Medical Students, Junior Doctors, and Physician Trainees, and has contributed to research evaluating patient satisfaction with telehealth services in rheumatology.
