Dr Yog Chopra

Dr Yog Chopra is a highly dedicated Consultant Geriatrician and Specialist Physician who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care for older adults. He holds appointments as a Staff Specialist in Geriatric and General Medicine, as well as a Visiting Medical Officer. With a deep understanding of the complexities associated with ageing, Dr Chopra focuses on promoting healthy ageing, managing complex chronic diseases, and enhancing the overall quality of life for his patients.

Dr Chopra completed his medical education at the University of New South Wales, graduating with a Bachelor of Medical Studies (BMed)/Doctor of Medicine (MD) with Distinction, alongside a Bachelor of Science (Medicine) Honours (First Class). He completed his basic physician training and subsequently undertook advanced speciality training in Geriatric Medicine at major metropolitan hospitals. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

In addition to his core geriatric practice, Dr Chopra has completed subspeciality training in Acute and Community Medicine, Stroke Medicine, Perioperative Medicine, Rehabilitation, and Aged Care Psychiatry. He is also actively involved in medical education, sharing his expertise as a Clinical Lecturer and Director of Physician Education, where he guides and mentors medical students, Junior Medical Officers, and Basic Physician Trainees. His clinical interests span cognitive assessments, dementia management, polypharmacy, frailty, falls prevention, and osteoporosis management.
