Dr Yasser Farooque

Dr Yasser Farooque is a highly qualified and dedicated General Surgeon based in Liverpool, Australia. He specialises in upper gastrointestinal (GI), hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB), sarcoma, and surgical oncology, alongside general and trauma surgery. With a patient-centred approach, Dr Farooque is committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality surgical care, ensuring that each patient receives a tailored treatment plan designed to achieve the best possible health outcomes.

His clinical practice is particularly focused on the management of both cancerous and benign conditions affecting the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, stomach, oesophagus, small bowel, and spleen. Dr Farooque also possesses advanced expertise in treating neuroendocrine tumours of the pancreas, gastrointestinal tract, and retroperitoneum, as well as sarcomas and peritoneal malignancies. In his general surgical practice, he frequently performs keyhole gallbladder surgery and hernia repairs, utilising advanced laparoscopic techniques to promote faster recovery times and minimise post-operative discomfort.

Dr Farooque holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MRCSI).
