Dr. Wes Thevathasan

Dr. Wes Thevathasan is a Neurologist. Dr. Thevathasan specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of movement disorders, including Parkinson's disease, essential tremor and dystonia.

Dr. Thevathasan has a particular interest in Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for the treatment of movement disorders. Dr. Thevathasan is involved in research to advance the effectiveness of DBS and is also involved in creating guidelines for DBS with a number of international committees.

Dr. Thevathasan trained as a Neurologist in Melbourne and acquired further international training in movement disorders and deep brain stimulation (DBS) at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford and the National Hospital, Queen Square, London.
