Dr. Vivek Akkera is a highly experienced Consultant General Paediatrician and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians with over sixteen years of experience in paediatric care. His expertise encompasses various subspecialties, with particular focus on neonatology, developmental pathophysiology of infants and young children, and the early identification and management of developmental, behavioural, and medical issues from newborns to adolescents up to 16 years of age.
Dr. Akkera's professional journey includes extensive training across India, the United Kingdom, and Australia. He has served in both Neonatology and General Pediatrics roles at prestigious institutions such as Sydney Children’s Hospital Network and Children’s Hospital Westmead Network Hospitals for nearly a decade. His approach integrates current evidence-based medicine to ensure optimal outcomes for his young patients. Dr. Akkera is committed to holistic care, involving families and carers in treatment decisions.
He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with distinction, and completed his MD in Paediatrics in India.
