Dr Tung Nguyen

Dr Tung Nguyen is a highly dedicated and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist who provides comprehensive mental health care for adults. With extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, he is committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based treatment plans that support his patients' long-term well-being. Dr Nguyen specialises in general adult psychiatry, with a particular clinical interest in the diagnosis and management of mood disorders.

In his clinical practice, Dr Nguyen adopts a holistic and patient-centred approach, working collaboratively with individuals to navigate their mental health journeys. He offers expert care for a wide range of conditions, including anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and schizophrenia. To support his patients, he utilises a variety of therapeutic modalities and advanced treatments, such as cognitive behavioural therapy, supportive psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, electroconvulsive therapy, and transcranial magnetic stimulation.

Dr Nguyen completed his medical and psychiatric training in Melbourne, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery alongside a Master of Psychiatry from the University of Melbourne.
