Dr Thomas Woo

Dr Thomas Woo is a highly qualified and reassuring Ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive eye care. He specialises in general ophthalmology, cataract surgery, and the medical management of glaucoma. Committed to delivering exceptional clinical outcomes, Dr Woo takes a patient-centred approach to help individuals manage a wide range of common and complex eye conditions, ensuring their vision is preserved and protected.

Dr Woo completed his medical degree with Honours at the University of New South Wales in 1994. Following his initial medical and surgical training, he obtained a Master of Public Health from the University of Sydney. He then undertook specialist training in ophthalmology, gaining extensive experience in general ophthalmology, cataract surgery, and emergency eye care. Dr Woo is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists.

Throughout his career, Dr Woo has developed a broad range of clinical interests, including corneal and retinal diseases, oculoplastics, and the management of acute ophthalmic emergencies such as traumatic injuries and retinal detachments. He has a particular interest in laser treatments for narrow-angle glaucoma. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Woo has contributed to the training of future eye specialists, having served as a Visiting Medical Officer to teach cataract surgery to Registrars and Junior Doctors.
