Dr Thi Ha Aung

Dr Thi Ha Aung is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care to individuals and families. With a reassuring and professional approach, Dr Aung focuses on building strong, trusting relationships with his patients, ensuring they feel heard and supported throughout their healthcare journey. He believes in empowering patients through clear communication and education, enabling them to make active and informed decisions about their health and well-being.

As a versatile General Practitioner, Dr Aung enjoys all aspects of family medicine, with a particular focus on preventative health and chronic disease management. He has developed advanced clinical interests in skin cancer medicine, holding specialised qualifications that allow him to perform thorough skin checks and manage skin conditions effectively. His broad scope of practice also encompasses children's health, men's health, mental health support, travel medicine, and antenatal care, alongside performing various minor surgical procedures.

Dr Aung obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Medicine 1, Yangon, in 2007. Before establishing his career in Australia, he gained valuable international experience practising in Jamaica. Upon relocating to Australia, he worked across diverse clinical settings in Perth and Darwin before successfully completing his specialist General Practice training in the New England region. Dr Aung is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and has furthered his expertise by achieving a Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine and an Advanced Certificate of Dermoscopy.
