Dr Theint Thu is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care. She enjoys all aspects of family medicine, offering comprehensive care that is tailored to the unique needs of each patient. Dr Thu earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Medicine 2 in Yangon, Myanmar, qualifying in 2010. After relocating to Australia in 2013, she completed her residency training at a regional hospital in Victoria, where she gained extensive clinical experience across a diverse range of departments, including emergency medicine, internal medicine, surgery, psychiatry, geriatrics, paediatrics, rehabilitation, and orthopaedics. She went on to work at several other Victorian hospitals before undertaking her specialist General Practice training in South Australia. Dr Thu successfully achieved her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in March 2020.

Throughout her career, Dr Thu has developed a broad range of clinical interests within primary care. She is particularly passionate about chronic disease management, helping patients navigate long-term health conditions with personalised care plans. Her other key areas of focus include paediatrics, women's health, travel medicine, and performing minor surgical procedures. Outside of her medical practice, she maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys bushwalking, hiking, cycling, and travelling.
