Dr Geng completed her medical degree at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and initially worked as a General Physician internationally before relocating to Australia. After passing her Australian Medical Council examinations, she undertook extensive internship and residency training across various metropolitan and regional hospitals, gaining valuable experience in general medicine and paediatric care. She subsequently completed her specialised General Practice training in regional New South Wales, equipping her with a broad and versatile clinical skillset.

Throughout her career, Dr Geng has developed key clinical interests in paediatrics, women's health, antenatal shared care, and the management of skin lesions. Beyond her clinical practice, she is highly active in the medical community, having served in leadership roles such as Honorary Treasurer for a prominent medical services coalition. Her outstanding contributions to community health and voluntary service have been recognised with prestigious community and medical association awards.
