Dr Tamara Preda

Dr Tamara Preda is a highly qualified General Surgeon, Breast Surgeon, and Endocrine Surgeon. With a patient-centred approach to care, she provides comprehensive management for both benign and malignant conditions. Dr Preda is dedicated to delivering compassionate, professional, and reassuring support to her patients, ensuring they are guided through every stage of their surgical journey, from initial assessment to post-operative recovery.

Dr Preda completed her medical education at the University of New South Wales, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Medicine) and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2004. She undertook extensive training in General Surgery, culminating in her admission as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2013. Furthering her academic and clinical expertise, she obtained a Master of Medicine (Surgery) from the University of Notre Dame Australia in 2015, alongside completing post-fellowship training in breast, endocrine, and surgical oncology. Dr Preda is an active member of several professional bodies, including General Surgeons Australia, Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand, and the Australian and New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Preda is deeply committed to medical education and research. She serves as a Clinical Lecturer, contributing to the training and assessment of undergraduate medical students. Her research contributions span surgical oncology, endocrine surgery, and surgical education, with numerous peer-reviewed publications in respected medical journals. This strong academic foundation ensures that her clinical practice remains aligned with the latest evidence-based advancements, allowing her to offer the highest standard of surgical care.
