Dr Suzanne Whittaker

Dr Suzanne Whittaker is a highly qualified Specialist Anaesthetist dedicated to providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality perioperative care. With a patient-centred approach, she ensures that individuals undergoing surgical procedures feel fully supported, informed, and comfortable throughout their medical journey. Her clinical practice encompasses a broad range of anaesthetic services, supporting patients through various surgical specialties with the utmost professionalism and care.

Dr Whittaker completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours at Monash University. She then undertook her specialist training in Anaesthetics through a major metropolitan hospital in Melbourne, gaining further international and local experience at the University of Alberta in Canada and within Victorian health services. Committed to continuous professional development, she has completed postgraduate studies in Perioperative Medicine and holds a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Teaching from the University of Melbourne. Dr Whittaker is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Whittaker is actively involved in medical education, facilitating specialised workshops in difficult airway management and surgical airway techniques for fellow Anaesthetists and Critical Care Consultants. Her regular clinical work includes providing tailored anaesthesia and sedation for general, orthopaedic, plastic, and gynaecological surgeries, as well as for endoscopic and pain management procedures.
