Dr Stuart Anderson

Dr Stuart Anderson is a highly dedicated General Practitioner who provides comprehensive healthcare to the community of Maffra, Victoria. With a strong commitment to regional medicine, he delivers evidence-based care tailored to the diverse needs of his patients. While managing a broad range of general practice presentations, Dr Anderson has developed a significant clinical focus on skin cancer medicine, which forms a major part of his daily practice. His reassuring and patient-centred approach ensures that individuals receive thorough assessments and personalised treatment plans.

Dr Anderson completed his medical education at Monash University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours. He subsequently undertook his specialist General Practice training in the Gippsland region. Demonstrating a commitment to clinical excellence, he obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2006. To further his expertise in rural medicine and skin cancer, he achieved a Fellowship of Advanced Rural General Practice and a Fellowship of the Australian College of Cutaneous Oncology in 2013. He is also a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.

In his clinical practice, Dr Anderson balances general medicine with specialised services, including skin cancer consultations and minor surgical procedures. Beyond his direct patient care, he is deeply involved in medical education, sharing his knowledge to support the next generation of healthcare professionals. He has served as a Medical Educator, a university Lecturer, and continues to act as an educational Supervisor for General Practice Registrars. His dedication to advancing the field is also reflected in his contributions to peer-reviewed medical publications, particularly concerning skin cancer diagnostics and treatment.
