Dr Stuart Aitken

Dr Stuart Aitken is a highly regarded Specialist Sexual Health Physician dedicated to providing comprehensive, inclusive, and compassionate care. With a focus on sexual health and gender-affirming medicine, Dr Aitken supports patients navigating diverse aspects of their physical and endocrine well-being. In his clinical practice, Dr Aitken addresses a broad spectrum of sexual health concerns. He has extensive expertise in HIV medicine, including the administration of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and managing treatment regimens. Additionally, he specialises in gender-affirming hormone therapies, genital dermatology, and the diagnosis and management of sexually transmissible infections (STIs) and herpes infections. Dr Aitken completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Queensland in 1996. He went on to obtain a Diploma in Venereology in 2001 and completed his specialist training in 2006. Furthering his academic credentials, he earned a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in 2018. Dr Aitken is a Fellow of the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine (FAChSHM). He also maintains active professional memberships with the Australian Professional Association for Trans Health (AusPATH) and the World Professional Association for Trans Health (WPATH), ensuring his practice remains aligned with the highest international standards of care.
