Dr Stephen Yelland

Dr Stephen Yelland is a highly dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive primary healthcare. Dr Yelland graduated from the University of Queensland in 1987, earning his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. Following his initial medical training, he completed a year of General Practice training in the United Kingdom in 1991. He subsequently obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1993. In addition to his clinical work, he is actively involved in medical education, supporting medical students and registrars, and serving as an Examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Throughout his career, Dr Yelland has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. He has a keen interest in chronic wound care and the management of chronic diseases, such as asthma, diabetes, and cardiovascular risk assessment. His expertise also extends to skin checks, sports medicine, travel health and vaccinations, and addiction medicine. Furthermore, he provides support for mental health concerns, including depression and anxiety, and performs minor surgery and procedural work.
