Dr Stephen Thackway

Dr Stephen Thackway is a dedicated and highly regarded General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. Dr Thackway completed his medical education at the University of New South Wales, graduating in 1990 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours. During his studies, he also undertook a Bachelor of Medical Science, which included a year conducting vital research on the effects of malnutrition in rural villages in Burma. Following his graduation, he completed extensive hospital training, including a Diploma of Paediatrics at a prominent children's hospital and two years of community paediatric training at a local hospital. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Throughout his career, Dr Thackway has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. He is particularly passionate about children's health, drawing on his postgraduate paediatric training to support families through all stages of childhood development. In addition to paediatric care, his areas of focus include psychological health, men's health, and performing minor surgical procedures.
