Dr Sithu Tun

Dr Sithu Tun is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality healthcare to individuals and families. With a reassuring and professional approach, he focuses on delivering personalised medical care that addresses the unique needs of each patient. Dr Tun believes in fostering strong doctor-patient relationships built on trust, empathy, and open communication, ensuring that those under his care feel supported throughout their health journeys.

Dr Tun graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Medicine 2 in Yangon, Myanmar, in 2000. Following his initial training, he relocated to the United Kingdom, where he undertook extensive postgraduate training and worked across various community and hospital settings, including roles as a Senior Doctor in Emergency Departments. He obtained his Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in the United Kingdom in 2014. After moving to Australia, he was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2017, reflecting his high standards of clinical excellence.

Throughout his career, Dr Tun has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. He is particularly passionate about chronic disease management, with a strong focus on diabetes care and support. His broad expertise also encompasses mental health, sports medicine, acute medicine, and performing minor surgical procedures. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Tun is deeply committed to medical education and enjoys teaching and mentoring medical students. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys music, playing soccer, and travelling to explore nature.
