Dr Sung completed his medical degree (MBBS) at the University of Melbourne, subsequently undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focusing on pain in Parkinson's disease. He completed his basic training as a Physician and advanced training in clinical neurology and neurophysiology at major metropolitan hospitals in Victoria. Dr Sung is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
