Dr Simon Sung

Dr Simon Sung is a highly qualified and dedicated Neurologist who provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of neurological conditions. With a primary clinical focus on movement disorders, Dr Sung is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care. He has a particular interest in managing complex conditions such as Parkinson's disease and dystonia, utilising advanced therapeutic approaches to help patients improve their quality of life and manage their symptoms effectively.

In addition to his expertise in movement disorders, Dr Sung is highly skilled in administering specialised treatments, including botulinum toxin therapy for both movement disorders and chronic migraines. His clinical practice also encompasses general neurology, where he assists patients with the diagnosis and management of diverse neurological issues. This includes the assessment and care of individuals who have experienced strokes or transient ischaemic attacks (TIAs), as well as those requiring evaluation for deep brain stimulation.

Dr Sung completed his medical degree (MBBS) at the University of Melbourne, subsequently undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focusing on pain in Parkinson's disease. He completed his basic training as a Physician and advanced training in clinical neurology and neurophysiology at major metropolitan hospitals in Victoria. Dr Sung is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). To ensure he remains at the forefront of advancements in his field, he maintains active memberships with several professional organisations, including the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists, the Movement Disorders Society, and the Movement Disorders Society Australasia.
