Dr Simon Jon Drakeley

Dr Simon Jon Drakeley is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. Dr Drakeley obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from Leicester Medical School in the United Kingdom in 1999. Following his initial medical training, he gained valuable international experience working in emergency medicine departments across Australia before returning to the United Kingdom to complete his specialist postgraduate training in General Practice. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Throughout his career, Dr Drakeley has developed a diverse range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on general medicine, chronic disease management, and men's health. He is highly experienced in managing complex chronic conditions, particularly diabetes, and is passionate about weight management. Drawing on his own personal success with long-term weight loss, he offers empathetic, practical guidance to patients navigating their own weight management journeys. Additionally, he is trained in pre-hospital care, pre-hospital mental health assessments, and the ongoing management of chronic mental illness.
