Dr Shruti Swamy

Dr Shruti Swamy is a highly dedicated Paediatric Allergist and Immunologist who specialises in providing comprehensive care for children experiencing a wide range of allergic and immunological conditions. With a compassionate and patient-centred approach, Dr Swamy focuses on diagnosing and managing complex disorders of immune dysregulation, including autoimmunity and immunodeficiency. Her clinical practice is dedicated to helping young patients and their families navigate the challenges of chronic allergic diseases, ensuring they receive the support and guidance needed for long-term health and well-being.

In her clinical practice, Dr Swamy offers expert diagnostic assessments and tailored management plans for conditions such as eczema, hives, asthma, hay fever, and allergic rhinitis, as well as food and medication allergies. She is highly skilled in performing essential diagnostic procedures, including skin allergy testing and supervised food challenges. To ensure comprehensive care, she designs individualised treatment strategies that may encompass dietary modifications, medical therapies, EpiPen prescription and training, and allergen immunotherapy. Her reassuring manner helps put both children and parents at ease during these detailed clinical evaluations.

Dr Swamy completed her primary medical degree, obtaining her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She subsequently undertook extensive specialist training through a leading paediatric hospital network in Sydney, culminating in her admission as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). Committed to advancing the field of paediatric medicine, she serves as a Lecturer at the University of Sydney and holds Staff Specialist appointments at prominent public teaching hospitals. Additionally, she contributes to clinical research and the development of paediatric allergy and immunology services as an Honorary Specialist with a major paediatric immunology department.
