Dr Shane Leavy

Dr Shane Leavy is a highly dedicated General Practitioner who practises in Noosaville, Australia. With a strong focus on patient-centred care, he provides comprehensive medical services to the local community. Over the course of his career, Dr Leavy has developed a particular passion for Skin Cancer Medicine, specialising in the early detection, diagnosis, and management of various skin malignancies, including melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma. He is committed to delivering reassuring, high-quality care, ensuring that his patients are fully informed and comfortable with their treatment options.

Dr Leavy began his academic journey at the University of Western Australia, where he earned a Bachelor of Science and a Diploma of Education. He then pursued his medical training in Ireland, completing his medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Upon returning to Australia, he gained extensive experience in Emergency Medicine and obtained an Emergency Medicine Certificate from the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine. In 2015, he was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. To further his expertise in skin health, Dr Leavy completed a Certificate of Dermoscopy and a Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine, and he maintains an active membership with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

His clinical interests also extend to Travel Medicine, occupational health, and worker's compensation, allowing him to address diverse patient needs.
