Dr Scott Peters

Dr Scott Peters is a highly dedicated General Practitioner who specialises in primary care skin cancer medicine, early detection, and treatment. Throughout his career in general medicine, Dr Peters has developed a deep appreciation for the diversity of General Practice and the strong personal connections he builds with his patients. He is committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality care to support the health and well-being of his patients.

Dr Peters graduated with his medical degree from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1985. He went on to complete his postgraduate General Practice training in 1992 through the Family Medicine Training Programme and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). As a vocationally registered General Practitioner, he has maintained a strong commitment to professional development and clinical excellence. Additionally, he has served as a Surgical Assistant to Orthopaedic Surgeons, further broadening his clinical and surgical expertise.

While Dr Peters has historically enjoyed all aspects of family medicine, including men's health and preventive healthcare, he has transitioned his clinical focus to dedicate his practice to Primary Care Skin Cancer Care. He provides comprehensive skin examinations, dermoscopy assessments, and both surgical and non-surgical treatments for sun-damaged skin and skin cancers. His expertise includes performing biopsies, cryotherapy, topical field treatments, and surgical excisions for various types of skin lesions, ensuring his patients receive proactive and personalised care.
