Dr Saks completed his medical degree at the University of Pretoria. He then pursued extensive postgraduate training, obtaining prestigious fellowships in ophthalmology from professional colleges in both South Africa and the United Kingdom. To further his expertise, he completed his specialist training at a major teaching hospital in Sydney, subsequently earning a Fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. He has also gained valuable international experience working at a renowned university hospital in the United Kingdom and has completed specialised training in aviation medicine.
