Dr Sarah Metcalfe

Dr Sarah Metcalfe is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients of all ages. With a strong commitment to supporting individuals and families through every stage of life, she focuses on delivering personalised healthcare that promotes long-term well-being. Her clinical approach is characterised by a reassuring and thorough manner, ensuring that patients feel heard and supported during their consultations.

As a General Practitioner with diverse clinical interests, Dr Metcalfe has developed particular expertise in women's health, including pre-pregnancy planning, contraception, and shared antenatal care. She is highly skilled in supporting families with breastfeeding issues and managing children's health, with a specific interest in supporting children with autism spectrum disorder. Additionally, her practice encompasses general sexual health, preventative healthcare, and prescribing pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV prevention. Her broad clinical background also includes valuable experience gained in spinal care, paediatric respiratory medicine, and emergency medicine.

Dr Metcalfe completed her undergraduate medical studies at Monash University, graduating with distinction and receiving membership of the Golden Key International Society for her outstanding scholastic achievements. She qualified in 2007 and has since pursued advanced training to enhance her general practice care. She holds a Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRANZCOG) and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
