Dr Sandeep Prabhu

Dr Sandeep Prabhu is a highly qualified Cardiologist and Interventional Electrophysiologist who specialises in the comprehensive management of cardiac rhythm disorders. With a patient-centred approach, he is dedicated to providing contemporary, evidence-based treatments tailored to each individual's symptoms and goals. Dr Prabhu focuses on engaging patients in their own healthcare journey, utilising advanced technology and clear communication to ensure they receive optimal care for their heart health.

His clinical expertise spans a wide range of cardiac conditions, with a particular focus on arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), and ventricular tachycardia. Dr Prabhu is highly skilled in performing complex catheter ablations, utilising advanced three-dimensional mapping systems, and employing minimal-radiation or radiation-free electrophysiology procedures. Additionally, he is an expert in the implantation and ongoing management of cardiac devices, including pacemakers, defibrillators, and implantable loop recorders, particularly for patients experiencing heart failure.

Dr Prabhu completed his medical training at Monash University, graduating with honours in both medicine and law in 2005. He undertook his advanced cardiology training at major metropolitan hospitals in Melbourne and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2013. He furthered his expertise by completing a PhD in clinical electrophysiology, focusing on atrial fibrillation and heart failure, and undertook an international clinical fellowship in electrophysiology and pacing at a leading cardiac centre in London. As an active researcher, he continues to contribute to clinical trials and has been recognised both nationally and internationally for his academic contributions to the field of cardiology.
