Dr Sameera Kevitiyagala

Dr Sameera Kevitiyagala is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality healthcare to individuals and families. Dr Kevitiyagala completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, in 2007. To further expand his medical expertise, he also obtained a Diploma in Medical Microbiology from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice, he achieved his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2021.

Throughout his career, Dr Kevitiyagala has gained extensive experience working in diverse healthcare settings, including rural hospitals and General Practice environments. He has developed a wide range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on paediatrics, chronic disease management, and cardiovascular health. Additionally, he is highly skilled in performing various clinical procedures, such as minor skin procedures, iron infusions, and the placement of Implanon and intrauterine devices (IUDs). His holistic approach to medicine ensures that patients receive thorough and preventative care tailored to their lifestyle.
