Dr Samantha Pomroy

Dr Samantha Pomroy is a highly dedicated Sport and Exercise Medicine Physician who is passionate about improving patient health outcomes and supporting individuals to achieve their unique physical and athletic goals. She treats patients of all ages and activity levels, from elite competitors to recreational sports enthusiasts. Dr Pomroy believes in a collaborative approach to patient care, working closely with individuals to problem-solve and deliver timely, effective health outcomes that help them return to the activities they love.

With a diverse background in elite sports medicine, Dr Pomroy has extensive experience managing athletes at the highest levels. She has served as a Team Doctor and Chief Medical Officer for various national and international sporting bodies, including the Australian Athletics Team, the Australian Rowing Team, and the Australian Women's Volleyball Team. She has also worked closely with basketball, para-swimming, and rugby sevens programmes. Dr Pomroy has a keen interest in adolescent medicine and takes great pride in supporting the development of junior athletes. She possesses a deep understanding of the unique physical demands placed on competitors in athletics and rowing, allowing her to provide highly tailored care.

Dr Pomroy completed her medical training at the Australian National University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2012. Committed to the highest standards of specialist care, she undertook extensive postgraduate training and became a Fellow of the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians in 2020. She remains actively involved in the medical community, contributing to the training and development of future specialists through her work on professional college committees.
